Sustainable Water Management in Schools

Active water management in municipal buildings in Pilsen is moving into its next phase. Our technology helps monitor consumption and prevent damage at the first three elementary schools: Elementary School No. 7 and Kindergarten, Elementary School No. 11, and Elementary School No. 25. Practical operation at these facilities confirms that digital monitoring has an immediate impact on the efficiency of resource management.

Measurable Savings in Real-World Operation

  • Data from the first few months show that even in modern or well-maintained buildings, hidden defects occur that are difficult to detect without digitization and continuous monitoring.
  • At the 7th Elementary School, thanks to the timely identification of leaks and technical malfunctions in valves, total water consumption was reduced by 18%.
  • As part of a broader deployment of the technology in Pilsen’s municipal buildings, nearly 100 hidden leaks were detected in total.
  • Experience shows that the return on investment for securing a school building is around 5 years, thanks exclusively to savings on water and sewer charges.

Workshop for School Representatives at TechTower

To share these insights, we organized a specialized workshop focused on sustainable water management at TechTower in Pilsen. The event was attended by approximately 24 representatives from Pilsen schools who were interested in specific steps to prevent waste in school buildings.

The main focus of the program was sharing practical experiences directly from the Pilsen school environment. Participants saw how the system alerts users in real time to anomalies, such as running toilets or faulty faucets, which can go unnoticed and increase operating costs by thousands of crowns a day.

Based on this workshop, we are continuing to establish partnerships with other schools across the city.
